Itโ€™s been one of those weeks that reminds me just how much is happening in our community. The week kicked off working alongside Whitley, who has been incredible designing all the materials for the upcoming 5th Annual Leadership Summit. I do a lot of the talking, but sheโ€™s the one making everything look amazing! And itโ€™s hard to believe we are just 3 days away from ticket sales closing for the Summit! We had another great Maysville Rotary Club meeting. How has it already been two weeks since my pinning?!Then came one of my favorite days of the month, Leadership Horizons . We started the morning at the Cox Building. Following our time there, the one and only Danny Weddle guided our tour while Kenny drove the trolley, sharing more about the incredible history of Maysville along the way. After lunch from Babz Bistro, Licking Valley Cap took us across the river to Ripley. Even though I graduated from there, it was my first time being inside two of the museums! They arenโ€™t officially in season, but they graciously hosted our group, making the visit even more special. If you havenโ€™t been to the John P. Parker House, everything will be opening up in the next month or so. I'd recommend that you plan a day with a trolley tour and a visit to Ripley. We wrapped up the week on a high note with a Ribbon Cutting & Re-Grand Opening for King Deal$. Their new location is next to Snow Donuts! โœ‚๏ธThere was already a line of shoppers at 9:30 AM for the 10 AM opening, and by 10:30 they had 65 people digging through the bins. That kind of turnout is a true testament to the customer relationships King Deal$ has built and their continued investment in Maysville. We love seeing businesses grow and expand right here in our community. We ended the day with lunch with one of our Chamber partners to talk about strengthening relationships and exploring ways to grow the benefits we offer.Busy weeks like this remind me just how lucky we are to live and work in a community with so much history, support, and opportunity right here in our own backyard.Make sure to watch the video below to see the energy from the Re-Grand Opening. This is exactly what it looks like when Maysville shows up! ... See MoreSee Less
